Radio server Chris Stark shares the diagnosis of testicular cancer

Radio presenter Chris Stark, testicular cancer diagnosed, he said.

Capital Breakfast Show and the former BBC Radio 1 server underwent surgery and “effectively healed” after the disease was caught early.

In a social media broadcast on Monday, a 38 -year -old boy said that he had quit the last few weeks, “to prevent anything from coming back” and he will return to the radio on Tuesday.

“I hope, maybe he’ll think of controlling themselves today,” or “go to a doctor if he’s not sure of possible symptoms,” he added.

Stark said that the cancer was caught after a routine journey a few months ago.

Later, “quite quickly” had surgery, then followed chemotherapy.

“The reason I want to share this, I feel like a fool that I haven’t identified earlier.”

He stressed that if the cancer is caught early, it is “very, very cured”.

He said that the discussion is a difficult issue, but that the diagnosis “helps this conversation to make it less difficult for men, helping someone to control themselves and potentially saved a life”.

He thanked his family, friends and colleagues and especially the “incredible” health personnel he faced in cancer care.

Stark is home to Capital FM’s breakfast show and Peter Crouch Podcast.

He was previously presented in BBC Radio 1 with Scott Mills and left the station in 2022 after 10 years.

Commenting on Stark’s article, joint hosts Jordan North and Siân Welby shared their love and support for Stark.

“Unreal courage from you, Chris,” Welby wrote. “I never knew that no one handled such a class and determination.”

Scott Mills said that he was “very surprising” by sharing Stark’s diagnosis: “Always here for you”.

Testicular cancer is common in men aged 15 to 49 years. According to NHS.
