Rahul Dravid breaks rumors with Sanju Samson before the RR vs Lsg IPL 2025 match

Rahul Dravid again joined Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise before his IPL 2025 season after his post with the Indian team.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) head coach Rahul Dravid has rubbished talks of a rift with captain Sanju Samson, calling the speculation “baseless” and urging the focus to return to cricket. The rumours gained traction after a clip from RR’s recent clash against Delhi Capitals (DC) went viral, which led to an intense social media debate over Samson’s unwillingness to contribute. In the video during the Super Over, the entire RR team talked in a huddle, but Samson casually gestured no to somebody.

The video, recorded just before the Super Over against KKR, showed Dravid in animated discussion with his support staff and a few players. When someone gestured for Samson to join the huddle, the skipper was seen staying put near the dugout, gesturing a polite refusal.

Rahul Dravid sets the record straight

On the eve of the Rajasthan Royals’ next match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Rahul Dravid attended the press conference. The head coach, despite using minimal words, set the record straight and asserted that he and the captain are on the same page.

I don’t know where these reports are coming from. Sanju and I are on the same page,” said Dravid in a press conference. It is quite obnoxious for people to read too much between the lines, despite knowing the fact that it was Dravid who batted for Samson since his younger days. It was under Dravid’s captaincy when Samson made his IPL debut back in 2013.
