Colorado Rapids is trying to get out of a funk while fighting Real Salt Lake in Rocky Mountain Cup in Commerce City on Saturday night.

Rapids has lowered its last three matches and during the last five trips to the competition contest, without wine (0-3-2).

Colorado (4-5-4, 16 points) welcomes 2-0 road loss to San Diego FC on Wednesday with a unilateral event.

“Yes, it was a difficult game for us,” said Rapids coach Chris Armas. “In this sport, in our league and the western conference, margins are weak.

“There is not much space for the error and we did not do enough.

Colorado has been evacuated in each of the last two matches. Rapids was 28-9 by San Diego FC.

Now Rapids is trying to end his slides against Real Salt Lake (4-7-2, 14 points).

Salt Lake played 0-1-2 in their last three games and Portland Timbers, who visited, on Wednesday with a score-free tie.

Salt Lake has only 13 goals and more than half came from Star Diego Luna.

Salt Lake Coach Pablo Mastroeni’s mind is that the shitty thing is that the club cannot score goals in corner strokes and free kicks, which is typically considered as the best flight score.

Mastroeni, “This year we did not score an aggressive piece of goal.” He said. “We should be able to find mechanisms to open this statistics, no matter who is.”

Colorado is not only wild about attacks with 15 goals. Rapids has two players with five goals – Rafael Navarro and Djordje Mihailovic – the rest of the list is a total of five.

Last season, Colorado won two of three games against Salt Lake. Rapids won the home match 3-2 and Sandy won 2-1 in Utah. RSL’s victory was 5-3 houses victory with high octane.
