RCB may need to calibrate Bangar again: in Bengaluru Games Bangar

RCB lost three games played at the Minnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru in IPL 2025
Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar opined that RCB wouldn’t be too happy with the pitches they were getting at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. His remarks come after the side’s 5-wicket loss to PBKS, which marks their 3rd straight defeat at home. With the loss to Iyer and co., RCB now have faced the most defeats at a venue (46) in the history of IPL.

RCB unhappy with pitches at home?
Speaking on Kuhl Fans Match Centre on JioHotstar, Bangar claimed that RCB would be worried about the pitches they got at home. He pointed out that the pitch offered unexpected bounce. Bangar further opined that RCB would have to re-think their batting strategy in Bengaluru as the pitch was no longer a batting paradise.
“They’d be worried, to be honest, with the kind of surfaces they’re getting. Who would’ve expected the amount of bounce that was on offer on this pitch? Nobody expected that. If that continues, this is no longer a batting-friendly surface or venue. RCB may need to recalibrate their batting approach to get things back on track in home games,” Bangar said.
What happened in yesterday’s RCB vs PBKS match?
Even though PBKS went on to lose five wickets, they sealed the win rather easily. Nehal Wadhera was the star for them with the bat scoring an unbeaten 33 from 19.
After a delay of more than two hours, the match started finally, but Arshdeep Singh managed to get Phil Salt in the first over itself. Soon after Virat Kohli also perished. The team kept losing wickets at regular intervals, and even scoring 50 looked difficult. But then a 26-ball 50 from Tim David eventually took them to 95.
RCB vs Cinnaswamy curator
After the loss to DC in their 2nd home game, mentor Karthik had claimed that RCB had asked for good pitches for their home games but were given something else. The RCB mentor opined that the surfaces provided at the Chinnaswamy were hard to bat on.
