FOr for about 20 years, as a storyteller, I have research and write about the human brain. My work has changed the human world in general and especially our way of seeing. From political hatred and religions to cults, to the nature of the idea of identity and suicide, it helped me understand everything. He even made sense of my life -long struggle to make friends.
Our Evolution Homo NarransStorytelling animal is the secret of our success. Like other animals, people are found in a survival area where we are looking for nutrition, safety and reproduction. However, we live in a second realm with a unique way, also a story world of collective imagination. The human brain developed to remix the reality and turn it into a narrative. We make you feel like the heroes of our own lives, surrounded by allies and enemies, pursuit of meaningful goals and strives towards happy endings. In our minds, we have a voice that writes an autobiography that constantly reveals who we are and what we are doing. We experience and remember the events of our lives in crisis, struggle and resolution. We think in stories, we talk in stories, we believe in stories, existing Stories.
This story world is the place where we spend most of our psychological time. This imaginary field is not from meat and blood, but an idea collection of who we are. This collection of ideas says “our identity .. Our identity is the character we play in the story of our lives and has an irreversible importance for us. Just like the heroes in fiction, we measure the health of our identity in two ways: how much we experience connections with other people and how much status we provide. All people miss loved and respected and scare the loss of these basic social resources.
