Los Angeles Dodgers bought Alexis Diaz from Cincinnati Reds on Thursday in exchange for the right hand of the small league in Mike Villani.
Dodgers, 40 -person squad to make a place for Diaz’i right hand Evan Phillips’i 60 -day injured in the list.
28-year-old Diaz was the All-Star election in 2023, but at the beginning of this season, he lost his role closer to Emilio Pagan in Cincinnati. In 2025, he took part in only six games and allowed eight running over six inning for 12.00 ERA.
Diaz was elected to Triple-A on May 1, and 4.63 ERA in 14 games for Louisville saved 1-2 records and two.
Before the rough patch, Diaz gathered 75 savings and 18-14 records during the first three major league season with Cincinnati. Career 3.21 Owner of ERA.
The 22 -year -old Villani was a 13th round draft choice by Dodgers in 2024 and did not make MLB output yet. This season started at the rookie ball level.
