Report: Darrion Williams withdrew from the NBA Draft, remained on the portal

College Basketball Transfer Portal, Darrion Williams reportedly withdrawn from the NBA draft.

As a young man in Texas Tech, the first team was one of the few players who tested the NBA draft waters, while Williams stayed on the NCAA transfer portal after winning the first team All-Big 12. According to a report of the CBS Sports, the NBA evaluated the options from the exercise circuit before officially released it from the draft on Tuesday.

Williams stole 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game last season, and Red Raiders reached Elite Eight and helped to raise the NBA draft stock.

In the 100 career matches in Nevada, Williams played an average of 11.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals.

6 -meter 6, 225 libles, on3.com’s industry ranking, only Memphis’in PJ Haggerty and St. John’s Rj Luis was ranked as the third best player in the portal.

Williams can return to Texas Tech for the last year, but it is expected to get a strong interest with the number 1 small forward. Kansas and North Carolina Province, Sacramento native decides to transfer Williams’a reportedly among the leading programs.

Williams is seen as a versatile and powerful defender, but in 2024-25, only 34 percent of the 3-point area has made a jump shot after pointing to the lowest percentage of his career.
