Report: Sergio Perez meets another F1 team

According to a report from Daily Mirror on Friday, Alpine emerges as a potential option for the Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez for the 2026 season.

ESPN reported that Perez met with Cadillac with Cadillac next season 11 F1 teams. However, Cadillac has other options that are taken into consideration according to ESPN.

This week, 22 -year -old Jack Doohan at least the next five weekend Franco Colapinto, in favor of 21 in favor of Alpine. If Alpine decides to leave both with both and go with a more experienced driver with Pierre Gasly next year, it may be a landing point for Perez.

After the season finale in Abu Dhabi in December, Perez and Red Bull announced that they had cut their ties despite two years in Perez’s contract. In 2023, after finishing his teammate Max Verstappen’s ranking for the second time, Perez competed last season. He did not win a race for the first time since 2019 and had only four podium finishing finishing. (There were 20 in the previous two seasons.)

Perez, 35, enjoyes the family time while staying away from the race.

Perez in 281 career races has six wins, 39 podium coating and four first five finish fines. The majority of this success, including three of these first five finishes, came with Red Bull in four seasons.

“Everything happened at the end of the season,” Perez said to f1.com. “I didn’t really expect it to happen. Only when we were in Qatar, it was clearer and we started to discuss and negotiate my team’s exit. Everything was very quickly.”
