IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 set

The Mumbai Indians (MI) will face the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 in Ahmedabad. After beating GT by 20 runs in Mullanpur, the 5-team champions will face Shreyas Iyer and co. on June 1 for a chance to reach their 10th IPL Final.

KL Rahul to play India A vs England Lions match

KL Rahul has decided to start his preparations for the India vs England Test series. The wicketkeeper batter wasn’t originally included in the India A squad for the England Lions 2-match series but will feature in the second practice game since the Delhi Capitals didn’t make the IPL 2025 Playoffs. He’ll then play an intra-squad match.

Karun Nair scores unbeaten century

Karun Nair has already shown why the selectors included him in India’s Test squad for England. Playing for India A against England Lions, Nair scored an unbeaten hundred (186) in Canterbury. He will come out to bat on day two and look to score a double hundred. This knock should ensure that he’ll play the first Test in Leeds.

Rohit Sharma scores 7000 runs in IPL

Rohit Sharma has become only the second player after Virat Kohli to score 7000 runs in the IPL. The former MI captain scored his highest score of the 2025 season, 81, and crossed the mark against GT. David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan are the only two players who have over 6000 runs to their name in the tournament.

Dewald Brevis was to join DC, not CSK

Dewald Brevis was perhaps the only positive for CSK in IPL 2025. But there was a chance that he’d never come to Chennai in the first place. Brevis was contacted by Delhi Capitals before. But they didn’t assure him that he’ll be on the team sheet from the get-go. So he declined their offer and when CSK came knocking and accepted his terms, he joined them.

Shreyas Iyer’s ego against RCB

Former Australian batter Tom Moody believes that Shreyas Iyer’s ego got the best of him in the Qualifier 1 against RCB. Playing an aggressive brand of cricket in IPL 2025, Shreyas decided to attack RCB’s best bowler Josh Hazlewood, and perished in the process. Moody thinks that had he decided to bite the bullet and attack someone else, the result might have been different.
