Has India Stroke Coach Abhishek Nayar was dismissed? Report explosives claims

If Abhishek was dismissed from Nayar and T dilip, the official approval has not yet come from BCCI.

Thursday started with an explosive note, as a report in Dainik Jagran claimed that Indian batting coach Abhishek Nayar, and fielding coach T Dilip have been sacked. The move has come after a disappointing 1-3 series loss to Australia, where the batting unit consisting of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and others failed miserably.

Despite winning the Champions Trophy, it seems the BCCI has shown the exit door to Nayar, just eight months after he first joined Team India. Apart from the duo, trainer Soham Desai has also been relieved of his duties. If the report is to be further believed, no immediate replacements will be made to the current roster, as Sitanshu Kotak is already associated with the team as the batting coach, and there is also the presence of Ryan ten Doeschate, who could take over as fielding coach.

It seems Adrian Le Roux will replace Soham. It must be noted that the South African is currently associated with the PBKS, and has previously worked with the KKR as well. Meanwhile, an official confirmation is yet to come on all these developments from the BCCI, and nothing can be confirmed as of now.

If one revisits the India vs Australia series, barring Yashasvi Jaiswal, other batters flopped massively. Jaiswal ended the series with 391 runs in 5 matches, followed by Nitish Kumar Reddy who scored 298. Virat Kohli could only manage to score 190, while skipper Rohit Sharma scored 31 runs in three matches.

As far as the Indian support staff is concerned, it has for now, training assistant Raghavendra, Dayanand Garani, physiotherapist Kamlesh Jain, masseur Arun Kanade, Chetan Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, team operations manager Sumit Mallapurkar, a security manager, and several others.
