Rohit Sharma supported Jasprit Bumrah as a test captain: “Why do we …”

The debate surrounding India’s next test captain is warming up with five harsh and fast -approaching series, especially against England. Rohit Sharma’s test retirement opened the door for a new captain who could take the team to the next World Test Championship (WTC) score table. Shubman Gill is currently leading Pacer Jasprit Bumrah in front of the race. However, former Sanjay Manjrekar, former Indian, thinks that Gill is not the right option, given the presence of Bumrah.
Bumrah’s fitness problems are an important factor behind Gill’s possible rise. Earlier this year, Bumrah had a fifth and long injury history against Australia in the Border-Gavascar Cup.
However, Manjrekar thinks that Bumrah should be responsible for the team, regardless of how many games he plays in England.
“Did Bumrah say that he would not make India captain? Or did he take himself out of the England series? Then why are we discussing whose captain?” Manjrekar wrote.

“If Bumrah’s availability is a problem due to injuries, didn’t we have Rohit Captain India in only 3 of the 5 tests in AUS?
If Bumrah’s availability is a problem due to injuries, didn’t we have Rohit Captain India in only 3 of the recent 5 tests in AUS? Usability cannot be all and they all end, injustice is much more important. Especially in tests.

India’s next task is to start at Leeds on June 20, and a five -game series against England.
The content says that the former Indian coach Ravi Shastri, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant are ideal for Captain India in the test format, considering that they have ages and already the leading IPL sides.
Shastri also thinks that Jasprit Bumrah will be a obvious choice for the leadership role in traditional format, but for fitness problems, Pacer must be protected from additional load.
“For me, Jasprit would be an obvious choice for me after Australia. But I don’t want Jasprit to do it from the captain, and then you lose him as a bowling player,” Shastri, Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan. He said.
