A rule of rule announced on Thursday makes the Late Mike Leach in accordance with the College Football Honor List.

Leach, who died at the age of 61 on December 12, 2022, compiled a percentage (158-107 records) in Texas Tech (2000-09), Washington Province (2012-19) and Mississippi Province (2020-22) for 21 seasons (158-107 records).
All other compliance requirements for coaches remain unchanged, including a minimum of 10 seasons and 100 games.
Coaches are entitled to be taken into account immediately after retirement if they are at the age of three full seasons or at least 70 years old after retirement. Active coaches become suitable after they reach 75 years of age.

He said. “This adjustment reflects the thoughtful dialogue with the leaders in the sport and allows us to better get to know coaches whose contributions to the game extend beyond a narrow statistical threshold.”
Leach was named Big 12 years coach in 2008 and PAC-12 coach of the year in 2015 and 2018. He took his teams to 17 bowls.
Leach passed away after complications about heart condition. Three weeks later, the temporary coach Zach Arnett directed Mississippi State to 19-10 victories against Illinois in Reliaquest Bowl.
