Saints QB Derek Carr retired after 11 seasons

New Orleans Saints Gamers Derek Carr retired from NFL after 11 seasons due to the right shoulder injury.
The saints said on Saturday that Carr’s right throwing shoulder was labral tears and degenerative rotator headline damage.
34 -year -old Carr was experiencing discomfort on his shoulder since he continued his left hand injury during a game against New York Giants on 8 December.
Carr, “on the reflection of the prayer and (wife) after meeting with Heather I decided to retire from the National Football League.” He said. “We have been blessed for more than 11 years and we are grateful and humble from this experience forever. It is difficult to find the right words to thank all teammates, coaches, management, property, team officials, and especially the fans who make this journey so special.
Saints, in his statements, Carr said that after consulting medical experts, he said.
The team, “the surgery was an option, endangered the entire 2025 season, but there was no guarantee that Derek would return to the power, function and performance level of the game he was accustomed to.” He said.
Last month, Saints chose the playmaker Tyler Shough in the second round of 2025 NFL draft. There are also 2024 fifth rounds Spencer Ratts and the fourth round selection Jake Haener.
Carr was 14-13 years old in New Orleans for two seasons, but he was limited to 10 games in 2024 due to injuries.
Carr, four times the pro Bowl election, scored 41,245 yards and 257 goals against 112 interventions for Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (2014-22) and Saints. He was selected by Akincilar in the second round of the 2014 NFL draft from Fresno.
