Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) appointed the former Australian Speedter Shaun Tait as the Hız Bowling coach of the national team until November 2027. After a short and overwhelming step, 42 -year -old replaced Andre Adams, who separated his ways with the team. Tait brings a rich experience as a former international cricket player and a bowling coach. Tait, a member of Australia’s 2007 World Cup winning staff, played 59 international matches in formats and received 95 small gates with its open pace and raw aggression. He worked with Pakistan, West Indian Islands and Afghanistan on his journey to coaching and gained valuable information in cricket cultures.
Speaking about his appointment, Tait expressed his enthusiasm to participate in the installation of Bangladesh during what he described as a “new era için for the team in the fast bowling department.
Tait, “Currently a good time to be included in the Bangladesh Cricket team, if you want a little new era.” He said. He said: “It has been spoken many times recently – the young talent with fast pottery – this is great. This is not a development team, it is not an international cricket and everyone’s focus on the fast bowling group and most importantly waiting for the team to win more.”
He also emphasized the opportunity to work with the head coach Phil Simmons as a compelling reason to take part. “Equal to have the opportunity to work with Phil Simmons, and I’m looking forward to the next journey.”
Tait’s appointment is part of Bangladesh’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and ICC Champions Trophy, both part of Andre Adams’s short -lived term. Adams joined the team in March 2024, but it could not have a permanent impact with Bangladesh’s fast Bowling unit struggling for consistency and penetration on the world stage.
