The inclusion of 43 -year -old Shoaib Malik in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) led to much debate. The former Pakistan captain is currently playing for Quetta gladiators. However, former teammate Mohammad Yosuf – he was not in favor of participation because he wanted a ‘line boots’ while deciding who could play in the competition. Shoaib Malik was appointed as the mentor of the Native Pakistan Side Tarzıları for the champions one day cup last year. As a result, Youstuf said that he should decide whether he wants to be a mentor or player or player to prevent any conflict of interest – a topic that has recently disturbed Pakistan Cricket.
“PCB needs to draw a line about Shoaib Malik. I will even play if you want me to play,” Yosuf said.
“I think the board needs to decide who can play and who cannot play. The Board needs to make some decisions. Everyone wants to play.”
Former Pakistani cricket Shahid Afridi believes that Shoaib could play as long as he wanted, but he asked him to think about causing young talents.
Afridi, “When he wants to play until he wants. I recently met at the Moin Khan Academy. He was returning from education. At that time the National Cup T20 was going on. Shoaib Malik could play some matches, but he should miss a few games to get young people to get their chances like they came here.” He said.
So far, this year’s PSL was a disappointing show of Shoaib Malik. He took 14 rounds in two games and did not buy a single small door.
