England Pacer Jofra Archer received another injury from the West Indian Islands Odis after IPL 2025

Jofra Archer played 12 matches for RR in IPL 2025 and collected 11 small doors. He did not return to India upon the rest of the league.
England has been dealt with a severe blow as their pacer, Jofra Archer is injured again. As per the ECB, the bowler is set to miss the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, starting May 29 at Edgbaston. Further, Archer has been replaced by Luke Wood in the squad.
No Jofra Archer for West Indies ODIs
“England Men’s and Sussex pace bowler Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the Metro Bank ODI series against the West Indies due to a right thumb injury. He will be reassessed by the England medical team over the next fortnight to determine when he may return to action,” a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said.
No Archer in India Tests?
It is important to note that Jofra Archer was part of the RR squad in IPL 2025, and had played 12 matches for the team in the season, bagging only 11 wickets. However, he did not come back to India, after the tournament resumed on May 17. Eventually, his team finished with 4 wins in 14 matches.
Meanwhile, this could be a big problem for the English management, with the India series just around the corner, which is scheduled to begin on June 20. Archer had last played in Tests for England in 2021 and would be itching to make a comeback.
