Dallas Stars Captain Jamie Benn was fined by NHL on Friday after replacing Winnipeg Jets with the Advanced Mark Scheifele in the third period of the 5th game of the Western Conference semi -final series with Winnipeg Jets.
Jets, Thursday, 4-0 victories against the stars stopped. Dallas hosted Winnipeg at Game 6 on Saturday and leads 3-2 in the best seven series.
The fine is maximum allowed within the scope of the collective bargaining agreement.
Winnipeg took ahead 3-0 with 6:32 in the third period.
The players were briefly separated and Scheifele was held by Linesman Ryan Daisy when Benn Jab released a short Jab on his chin. The coup caused both Scheifele and Daisy to fall on ice.
Benn took a small and 10 -minute abuse.
Jets Advanced Brandon, who tried to intervene, received a rude penalty of a game abuse and Scheifele.
