TGL announced the Motor City Expansion Team for 2027

The Atlanta Drive GC celebrates the TGL championship after beating the New York Golf Club in the TGL finals in Sofı Center in Palm Beach Gardens on March 25, 2025, Florida.

TGL is added to the Motor City Golf Club representing Detroit and expands to seven teams in 2027.

TMRW Sports and TGL CEO and founder Mike McCarley made the announcement on Tuesday.

Motor City GC Ownership Group is managed by Middle Western partners and managers Michael Hamp, Peter Hamp and Kevin Kelleher. The Hump family has long been the common owners of NFL’s Detroit Lions for a long time.

“This is a great moment for Detroit Sports and personally proud to me,” Michael Hamp will serve as the governor of the new team.

“My grandfather William Clay Ford Sr. was an enthusiastic golfist, and I believe that bringing a new form of his favorite game would make him really proud.

The property group also includes Rob Walton, owner of Denver Broncos, and Jordan Rose, president and founder of the Rose Group.

“Detroit is a great sports town. The city has a championship heritage and Detroit fans are passionate about their teams, and they will inform you.” He said. “For the Motor City Golf Club, the ownership group will use Detroit’s deep ties and comprehensive expertise to the community as NFL team owners to establish a TGL team that embodies the love of Golf of Sports and the region.

The 2027 season will be third for the Tech-infuTed Team Golf League, founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McILOY.

Atlanta Drive GC won the 2025 competition in Sofi Center in FLA, Palm Beach Gardens.
