Mark Derosa returns as US team coach for wbc

The US baseball announced on Thursday that Mark Derosa will return as the US team for 2026 world baseball classic.

Derosa, “Sharing the club building and shelter was one of the most important events of my life with the biggest staff and players of the United States.” He said. “I am extremely grateful and fired to get another opportunity to bring the US to my chest.”

Michael Hill was also elected as the General Manager of the Silver Medal Winning in the global competition in 2023.

“It is an honor and privilege for me to have the opportunity to take the US team to the world baseball classic.” He said. He continued: “Mark Derosa and coaching staff with the goal of winning a championship with a team to create a team!”

Derosa, 50, was a public service man who played 16 seasons in the main branches with eight teams between 1998-2013. He also worked as a studio analyst for MLB Network.

54-year-old Hill worked between 2002-20 in the front office of Miami Marlins, including the general manager and the president of the baseball operations. He is currently working at Major League Baseball and supervises the discipline in the referee and the field.

The sixth edition of the World Baseball Classic is between 5-17 March 2026 with games played in Houston, Miami, Tokyo and San Juan, Porto Rico. Semi -finals and finals will be held in Miami.

The US team will compete at B Play in Brazil, Great Britain, Italy and Mexico and Houston between 6-11 March.

Japan is the defense champion who seized WBC championships in the first two events in 2006 and 2009. The Dominican Republic won in 2013 and the US team received the crown in 2017.
