A dramatic change in America’s trade policy has warned economists about the increasing costs and the risk of stagnation.
Donald Trump’s tariff announcement surprised global leaders, and forced the markets to sprinkle with the dramatic change in America’s international trade policy. Panelists joined Washington Week with Atlantic Tanking discussing what financial markets may mean for the president administration.
“Trade has not provided the benefits that the economists and politicians of both sides have been promising for decades, Dav said David Leonhardt. While the United States tend to work in favor of educated professionals, blue -collar workers did not benefit in the same way. The arrangements made in trade policy may be a way to deal with it, but Trump’s tariffs are “Shambolic, extremely high” and “Nobody knows if they will get them back the next day, Leon Leonhardt continued.
