Five -star recruitment Shelton Henderson, after leaving Duke last week on Monday, former Blue Devils Deputy Head coach Jai Lucas’ı Miami’ye announced.
Lucas, who was hired as the head coach of Hurricanes last month, took Duke Head Coach Jon Scheyer and Henderson in November with Duke to his Senior Durham at Bellaire High School, but was released last Thursday and reopened his recruitment.
Henderson is the 21st in the 2025 class in the country, the fourth Small Forward and the 247Sports Composite in Texas.
Henderson, a 6 -meter 6, 220 -pound, was a member of the US team who won a gold medal in FIBA U18 American last summer, where he took an average of 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds for six matches.
Lucas also joined Bellaire High and played in an AAU program operated by a former NBA player Lucas’s father John.
Jai Lucas also conveyed Dante Allen and Timotec Malovec from Slovakia, as well as Tre Donaldson (Michigan), Malik Reneau (Indiana), Ernest Udeh (TCU) and Tru Washington (New Mexico).
