The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will start on Friday, 2025, but the teams were worried after a fire on the sixth floor of Serena Hotel in Islamabad, where the players stayed. The regional administration confirmed that the fire came from the top floor and that the fire department quickly handled the situation. None of the guests and personnel containing PSL crickets and officials were injured due to fire and released properly. PSL CEO Salman Nazeer, Samaa TV told, “None of the players or franchisees did not face difficulties. Fire extinguished in time. The hotel did not spread to the inside,” he said.
“Firefighters started their operations to extinguish the fire immediately,” he added.

In the PSL 2025 opener, Islamabad United seized Lahore Qalantars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The Pakistan Super League management planned their matches an hour after the start of IPL matches to minimize the Airtime conflict with the Indian Premier League.
PSL CEO Salman Nazeer said that PSL matches will start at 20:00 an hour after the IPL games of PSL games start at 7 PST.
PSL will start on Friday at Rawalpindi.
For the first time in the same window from the two leagues for the first time.
Nineer said there was no choice but to plan PSL in the April-Mer window due to the packaged calendar in the early this year.
“This is not an ideal situation, but we are sure that the PSL has its own fan base and will draw the usual eye spheres.” He said.
“PSL has always produced quality competitive crickets and this year we should see the same and cricket fans everywhere, at the end of the day, we want to see only competitive, fun matches,” he said.
