The UK name team for the West Indies series; No exemption for IPL 2025 players

The England Cricket Board (ECB) Has Announced its Squad for the upcoming White-Ball Series Against the West Indies, with No Exemptions Granted to Players Currently Particpating in IPL 2025. Three-Match T20i Series Starting on June 6. This Decision Means That England’s IPL-Bound Players, Inclument Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, and Jacob Bethell, Will Have to Return for National Duty, Potentially lack IPL playoffs.

The British and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) initially published any objection certificate (NOC) to participate in the IPL until May 25, the original date of the final date. However, when the tournament is now extended until June 3, ECB confirmed that these NOCs would not be revised and provided full availability for the West Indian Islands series. This movement strengthens the commitment to giving priority to international fixtures, according to British franchise cricket.

The squad sees that Harry Brook replaces the Jos Buttler as a new white ball captain of England. The ODI team includes key players such as Jofra Archer, Joe Root, Adil Rashid and Jamie Overton, while Phil Salt, Rehan Ahmed and Liam Dawson in the T20I team.
