Colt Keith grunted in two hit, Brewer Hicklen took the first two major leagues, and Detroit Tigers defeated Colorado Rockies 11-1 to sweep his double headings on Thursday.
Keider Montero made eight strong strokes, Spencer Torkelson took three hit, and Kerry Carpenter and Trey Sweeney had two hits to help Detroit the fourth straight victory.
The tigers finished 7-3 on the longest, three-city journey of the season. Detroit won the opener 10-2.
Montero has been added to the squad for Doublehead, and against Rockies, he just strokes to allow one run for his second win. On September 10, 2024, Montero (1-1) threw a closure against them for one full game.
Mickey Moniak took two hit for Colorado, which lost six times and fell to 6-31, the worst record of the main branches.
