Fair areas in Pomona to host Kriket at the La28 Olympics

Dubai [UAE]April 16 (Memorial): On Tuesday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) welcomed the announcement that the exhibition areas in Pomona, Southern California would host crickets at the next 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, according to the ICC official website.
The excitement around Cricket’s Olympic return is being built because it is confirmed that the sport will return to games after a 128 -year gap.
On April 9, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Committee confirmed the number of participating teams for the 2028 Olympics and the number of participating teams for Cricket.
Both men and women will have six teams each in the T20 competitions. A 90 -player quota will be allocated according to gender and each nation will be allowed to enter a staff up to 15 players.
The full tournament program will be closer to the beginning of the games.
ICC President Jay Shah, as quoted by the ICC official website, ICC President Jay Shah, “Los Angeles 2028, we welcome the announcement of the cricket venue, because our sport is an important step to prepare for the return of the Olympics.” He said.
“Although the jack is a very popular sport, it will be a great opportunity to expand the traditional boundaries when it is included in the fast -paced, exciting T20 format Olympics.
In October 2023, Cricket’s return to the Olympics was confirmed in addition to the inclusion of five additional sports for baseball/volleyball, flag football, lakros (sixes) and pumpkin – Los Angeles games.
The T20 Format has been involved in both male and women competitions organized in Asian games in 2010, 2014 and 2023. A female T20 tournament took place in the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham. (MOMENT)
