Vaibhav Syriavanshi gives rr hope for IPL 2025 Playoffs qualification for 14 -year -olds.

At the age of 14, Vaibhav Syriavanshi holds the youngest Centurion record in IPL and T20.
Even the great Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden Ranji Trophy hundred when he was 15 years old. We all know what he went on to do.
Now, no one is comparing Vaibhav Suryavanshi to Tendulkar. But one has to acknowledge the fact that a 14-year-old just scored his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) hundred in just 35 balls. Suryavanshi now holds the record for being the youngest to score an IPL and T20 hundred of all time.
It took the teenager just 35 balls to score his maiden century. This also happens to be the second-fastest IPL hundred of all time. Who’s ahead of Suryavanshi? Christopher Henry Gayle. The man who’s often said to be the greatest T20 batter the cricket world has seen.
The 14-year-old has found his name among legends. And the fact is, its age is what makes this feat so incredible. For an Indian, you are studying in the 9th standard. You still don’t realise the changes your body is going through, and here is Suryavanshi, who’s rubbing shoulders with the likes of Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.
He deposited bowlers like Rashid Khan, Mohammed Siraj and Ishant Sharma over the ropes. These are Test match bowlers. They have played at the highest level of cricket and succeeded. That power, poise and maturity that Suryavanshi has at 14 is not something the cricket world has seen.
He’s setting benchmarks for youngsters. And these standards may not ever be replicated. Think of Ayush Mhatre. The 17-year-old from Mumbai has done exceptionally well for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). But right now, Ayush or any other youngster is being overshadowed by the 14-year-old phenom that Vaibhav Suryavanshi is.
