Virat Kohli continues set record with yet another fine show for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Tuesday. Chasing 228 to win, the RCB legend smashed another half-century to lead his team’s chances to make the Qualifier 1. En route his stunning knock, Kohli went past 9000 runs for RCB, making him the first player to do so in T20 history.

Virat has played for RCB his entire career, and has etched his name in the history books. Such is the scale of Virat’s achievement, Rohit is next on the list, almost 3000 shy of Kohli’s tally for RCB.

Virat sets record for most 600+ seasons

He eventually managed 54 in Lucknow, taking him past 600 runs in IPL 2025. That marked Virat’s 5th IPL season with more than 600 runs. Kohli has now scored 600 or more than most, breaking his tie with Delhi Capitals star and former teammate KL Rahul.
