Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry was chosen as the teammate of the NBA 2024-25 TWYMAN-STOKES on Monday.

The award is based on “devoted game, out -of -court and other NBA players, leadership and devotion to the team as a role model”.

The existing NBA players voted for the winner and selected from a list of 12 finalists (six of each conference) selected by a League executives Panel.

Curry, the first winner of the award, received 66 first votes and 1,257 total points to defeat the Houston Rockets Center Steven Adams (1,237 points). New York Knicks Guard Jalen Brunson came third.

The 37-year-old Curry is the All-Star, including the 2010-11 NBA Sports Award for the Cup Collection, and the league MVP twice. The guard is also the leader of all time in the NBA champion and 3 -point field goals.

Twyman-Strokes’s team-mate of the year was selected for his teammates at Rochester/Cincinnati Royals, Famers Jack Twyman and Maurice Stokes between 1955-58.

In the last match of the 1957-58 normal season, Stokes suffered an injury that caused him to fall into a coma and permanently paralyzed. After trauma, which is a brain damage to the motor control center, encephalopathy was diagnosed. Stokes was supported by TWYMAN, a legal guardian and advocate in the rest of his life.
