‘I was born without a uterus – now I get pregnant with my second child after the OP that changed life’

After hearing the diagnosis news, he told us: “I was destroyed, it was a break in my heart. I knew I wanted a family and I knew I wanted a child.

“I didn’t talk to anyone about it because I really suffered.”

He continued: “It was difficult, growing up and being in his 20s, being married and seeing your friends had children. And I always found an excuse, but these questions are really bad.

“There were too many nights to sleep in bed and cry to sleep, because I wanted us to have a family and have our own babies, but there was no way to do it.”

He missed to have children, Liz and Her husband Timmy, 37, home and work, including “gave up everything”, so that Liz’s Birmingham program Alabama University Birmingham, Alabama, can be moved to the United States. He saw it as a couple as a proxy, but they saw this route as “very expensive”.

After registering with the transplant program, Liz was on a waiting list for eight months before being available for a match. A uterus was donated from a woman named Jayla, who passed away at the age of 20 before a uterine transplant three years ago.
