Showboats Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt down

Ken Whisenhunt resigned on Wednesday as the head coach of UFL’s Memphis Showboats.
He left without permission in late March, but he returned to a starting team of 0-3.
Whisenhunt said in a statement, “It is time to get away from the game and take a break from football.” He said. “I am very grateful for the time I spend with the players and I wish them the best.”
Jim Turner, the attack line coach, filled as a temporary coach during the previous absence of Whisenhunt, will continue this role for the rest of the 2025 season.
Previously NFL’s Arizona Cardinals (2007-12) and Tennessee Titans (2014-15) as the head coach of 63-year-old Whisenhunt.
45-51 with cardinals went to 3-20 with Titans. The 2008 Arizona team lost 27-23 in Super Bowl XLIII to Pittsburgh Stelers.
