When IPL 2025 is pushed until June 3, Franchises fears the fear of exit ‘abroad’ for the title deed

Typically, the Indian Premier League (IPL) does not coincide with the large international cricket series. However, unprecedented suspension in IPL 2025 has changed everything.
When the IPL 2025 finals were determined for June 3, the Indian-Pakistan was suspended for a one-week suspension due to border tensions, and the extension of the tournament triggered the availability crisis for several overseas capabilities. The new window, announced by BCCI after a temporary ceasefire, clashes with international commitments – especially the World Test Championship (WTC) final and the ODI series against the West Indian Islands of the UK.
International Calendar Conflict with IPL Business End
In general, the Indian Premier League (IPL) clashes without a major international series. Federations, except Pakistan, of course, control planning and allow players to participate in the world’s richest T20 franchise tournament. IPL 2025 had no problems until an unprecedented suspension occurred.
Australia and South Africa will appeal the WTC final in Lord’s between 11-15 June. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, and all of the IPL Travis Head, such as important Australian players are now for the test task. Since it will be the biggest test of the year, it is difficult for them to compromise the preparations for the WTC final.

The same applies to Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, Corbin Bosch, Anrich Nortje and Gerald Coetzee Play. Tristan Stubbs is another key player. Meanwhile, the UK’s white ball team will face the West Indian Islands in three ODI (29 May, 1 June and 3 June), which coincide directly with IPL playoffs.
Franchisees looking at the lockless absenteeism
The uncertainty surrounding NOCs – franchises such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Gujarat Titans (GT) can be the most difficult. For example, RCB may lose almost all overseas nucleus in front of the playoffs.
IPL 2025 can miss the overseas players
Franchise | Probably absent | Reason |
---|---|---|
Rcb | Hazlewood, Ngidi, Shepherd, Salt, Bethell, Livingstone | WTC PREP, ENG VS Wi ODI |
PBKS | Jansen, Inglis, Stoinis | WTC preparation, travel restrictions |
Is it | Rickelton, Bosch | WTC Preparation (SA Players) |
GT | Jos Buttler, Rutherford, Rabada, Coetzee | ENG ODIS VS WI, WTC PREP (SA Players) |
Srh | Cummins, head | Wtc preparation |
DC | Starc, Stubbs | WTC preparation, aus return unstable |
Kkr | Nortje | Wtc preparation |

Even if the IPL is preparing to continue with RCB with RCB in Bengaluru on May 17, the Franchisees are working more to verify the return of their overseas players. The UK’s ECB allowed expanded IPL tips before the auction – but it seems likely to reversed the new program with the direct inner season with the first series of the inner season. Meanwhile, Cricket Australia (CA) left the ball at the court’s court. With the potentially standing out of the match winners of the Playoff contestants, the last leg of IPL 2025 could see a weak playground.
