‘Why are you giving me the award?’: Ms Dhoni’s sincere acceptance of winning the IPL player of the match six years later
Ms. Dhoni put a player of the match performance to help Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to achieve its earnings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Five times the champions, Monday with five small gates Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated the second win of the season. ‘It is nice to win a game’
Dhoni also said that he had finally caught the line that did not finally win in the 18th edition of the T20 Tournament. In the fixture against LSG, Dhoni became the first player to exceed 200 layoffs in IPL as a Wicketkeeper.
“It’s good to win a game, because you want to win a game when you play such a tournament. Unfortunately, the matches didn’t go to our way. So many reasons. So, it gives a lot of confidence on us. The whole team trusts very much. And it helps us to develop in the areas we know where we want to heal.
“It was a difficult game, but he is happy to be on the winner, and I hope it will give us some momentum.”
Despite this win against Lucknow Super Giants, CSK remains below the score table. On April 20, 2025, the franchise will decide against the Mumbai Indians at Mumbai, Wankai Stadium.
