Mayay Yadav Returns to LSG after 356 days! Rishabh happiest pants

Mayyay Yadav’s last competitive match was 2/32 in a T20i against Bangladesh in October last year.
A wait of 354 days might be over in the next hour or so. Pace sensation Mayank Yadav, who rattled everyone with his brief but impactful 4 IPL 2024 games, is ready to roar again. In the ongoing Rajasthan Royals vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) match, Mayank is on the bench but could come in as an Impact Sub straightaway. Rishabh Pant, who won the toss, opted to bat first. Hence, it is all but a certainty that LSG will push the trigger and include Mayank, who sent 150+ km/h thunderbolts, in the second innings.
Mayank Yadav boost for LSG
Mayank, retained for Rs 11 crore despite playing only four games last season, has now been cleared by the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) following recovery from a recurring back issue and a toe injury. He joined the LSG camp earlier this week and has passed fitness assessments under the supervision of team physio Ashish Kaushik.
The express pacer lit up IPL 2024 with raw pace, clocking 157 km/h and picking seven wickets in four matches. His return adds a much-needed X-factor to LSG’s bowling unit, which has been hit by injuries to Mohsin Khan, Avesh Khan, and Akash Deep. For the RR clash, LSG have dropped Akash Deep in favour of Prince Yadav, who also impressed early on.
LSG Playing XI vs RR

Impact Sub options: Ayush Badoni, Mayank Yadav, Shahbaz Ahmed, Matthew Breetzke, Himmat Singh
